Comparative Study on LC3-50 with OPC Concrete Using Raw Materials from Pakistan

The cement industry is expanding rapidly around the globe, despite its significant contribution to global carbon dioxide emissions. Likewise, in Pakistan, produces million tons of and has a history contributing as high 10% country’s emissions annually. most effective technique for reducing use supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3-50) recently developed blend comprised 50% clinker, 30% calcined clay, 15% raw limestone, 5% gypsum by weight. focus this research assess mechanical properties durability performance LC3-50 composition formulated using from Pakistan. comprehensive case study would help advance commercialization activities country. In study, compressive strength, split tensile, flexural, pull-out tests were performed evaluating properties. For assessment durability, water permeability, sorptivity, carbonation, rapid chloride penetration test (RCPT) per available standards. It concluded that instead ordinary Portland (OPC) improved strength end concrete.
